Pack Animal | 1990 BMW K75RT

Pack Animal | 1990 BMW K75RT

For the 2018 Handbuilt Show, we wanted to do a collaboration build with craft luggage maker Pack Animal out of Seattle. When an abandoned 1990 BMW K75RT (full touring fairing) became available, we decided it would make a great platform for a long-distance adventure touring bike. The result is “Pack Animal,” a K75 adventure touring bike that showcases our respective talents and abilities. It was selected as one of the Best Custom Scramblers and Adventure Bikes from The Handbuilt.

CiTy 110 | Honda Trail 90

CiTy 110 | Honda Trail 90

The humble Honda Trail 90 (aka CT90) is an icon of a simpler time.  Memorable? Yes. However, after fifty years, maybe not so reliable or practical. What if the iconic little 90 was sporting 12 volt electrics, an electric start and a modern ignition? Roll in a few extra CCs of power and now you're talking fun.

Intended as an alternative to production line scooters and such, this Porsche cream white and wood grain CiTy 110, sports all of those modern features but maintains the simple beauty of the original little trail bike.

Superhawk | Honda CB 77

Superhawk | Honda CB 77

In the mid-1960’s, British motos ruled most of the two-wheeled world.  BSA, Norton, Triumph set the bar…until Honda showed up to the party with the 305cc “Superhawk.”  Fast, nimble and reliable, the Japanese invasion had begun.
This 1964 example is one of our favorite restorations. Except for the addition of a modern electronic ignition, this Superhawk has been restored to its original specifications and beauty.

1974 Yamaha RD 60

1974 Yamaha RD 60

We love little bikes! While the modern moto industry chases 0-60 times and horsepower numbers, we know just how fun it is to ride a moto you can push to its limits instead of yours. Just sixty cc's of two-stroke joy this beauty represents, it is the smallest Yamaha to wear the renowned “RD” name. However, for it's coat of Yamaha’s road racing white, red and black, this 1974 RD60 has been exactly restored to stock specifications. Remember, if it ain’t smokin,' it's broken!

CiTy 125 | Honda Trail 90

CiTy 125 | Honda Trail 90

Can you tell? We love the little bikes and especially the iconic Honda Trail (“CT”) 90. The modern motorcycle industry has practically forgotten little commuters and trail scoots like the Trail 90. We have not.

We brought this forgotten and neglected 1966 Trail 90 into the present. To make it go, we started with modern 12 volt electrics and a 125cc electric start motor. Modern suspension upgrades and new brakes make it ride and stop as it should. Built according to the owners specifications, this CiTy 125 is practical but an incredibly fun...
